Looks like prune juice. Smells like liquorice tea, smoked aniseed and linseeds. Amazingly smoky and meaty. Prunes. Staggering concentration – it feels as if it's been extracted from the core of the earth. There is so much here that it's impossible to do any justice to this wine in a quick tasting. This wine needs hours of time and attention. It's a towering sculpture of a wine. To grasp it, you'd need to sit with it, listen to it, give it space to tell its stories. - JANCIS ROBINSON: 19.5/20
