Teuchter Batch Three picks up where Batch One left off, same spirit, just given more time and a little extra sherry persuasion along the way. This time it’s had a stint in a 2nd fill European oak sherry butt and it’s come out the other side as a richer, darker, more indulgent version of itself. Bottled at natural strength, it leans into that modern, spicy sherry profile, but keeps a firm grip on its earthy, fruity core. There’s plenty of dark fruit here, plums, jams, cordials, alongside honeyed touches and a faint mead-like warmth, before it opens into softer, more rounded notes of Armagnac, cedar, pine and a little camphor. It’s easy, generous and deeply satisfying, with a medium finish that balances sweet, jammy richness against drying wood, spice and structure. Flora, quite rightly, is delighted.
