Tasting Notes :
Aroma: Clean, refined peat smoke with a gentle maritime breeze, hints of sea salt and damp kelp, layered over soft citrus zest, fresh pear and a touch of honey. Underneath, there’s a subtle nuttiness and polished oak, rounding out the classic Islay character without overwhelming it.
Taste: Medium‑bodied and silky, with a light oily mouthfeel. Smoked malt and ash sit alongside citrus peel, green apple and a whisper of brine, while barrel‑derived notes of vanilla and toasted oak add warmth and balance. The peat remains integrated and elegant, never harsh.
Finish: Medium‑long and refined, with lingering smoke, a faint drift of sea spray, soft oak spice and a final echo of citrus fruit—very much in the refined, coastal Caol Ila house style.
