Another fantastic single cask bottling from Decadent Drinks. This 27 year old single malt was distilled at Ardmore in 1998, and matured in the 2nd fill ex-Pedro Ximenez cask for the full duration. A "deeply old-school example" of the distillery.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose – Soft, drying peat smoke that's both peppery, tarry and bound up with beautiful waxes, aniseed and camphor. Exuberantly old style whisky!
Palate – Same feeling of older style, drier, fuller and fatter peat smoke, along with a terrific waxy texture, mineral oil, hessian, medicine and lighter farmyard impressions.
Finish – Long, drying, mineral, waxy and full of lingering threads of peat smoke and dried honey
